3.17.08

First we went to Pike's.

We ate lunch at some place in pike's with a huge menu. The great thing about pike's restaurants is you walk into a dirty, smelly place and then you are pleasantly surprised that it actually good food.
The view from our table
My favorite coffee downtown found at Local Color:
Seattle Aquarium:

Nemo and Dori:

The world's largest type of octopus:
River otter:
Sea otter:
View from the aquarium:

Olympic Sculpture Park:
Since it was St. Patty's day, a Irish Pub right next to the park had a man playing the bagpipes. That is really the only reason we took this video.

Love & Loss: I would love to have this up in my backyard.

And our favorite: the metal tree. Of course I really like trees anyway, they show up a lot in my own art. This you can drive by in winter and never realize it isn't real until you really look at it.

Not sure what these huge rust colored things are supposed to represent but they are good for shade.
Then we went up to Mountlake Terrace and ate at a new Thai restaurant (very good!). Stopped by Joe and Jasmine's then went home.

We had a very nice, relaxed anniversary.

That metal tree, where is it? Only difference between it and real is no new buds... no life.

the tree is in the olympic sculpture park...it is right across the street (to the north) of the old spaghetti factory on the waterfront
