Day 1
Rockin out to Metallica
The first night we stayed at Beverly Beach in a 16' diameter yurt. Plover was its name. We had a lovely wind and rain storm all night, it almost sounded like a symphony.
The second day we stopped by the Oregon Coast Aquarium. I liked the sign: 'Welcome to Oddwater, where it is OK to be weird'
Unfortunately the exhibits for the otters and seals had bad viewing areas. Very small and very dirty glass.
This is what the coast looked like most of the time. Most of the pictures didn't turn out well because of the amount of fog. Half of the time we couldn't even see the ocean.
Day Three
Evidence: Teresa drove.
There was a large herd of Elk on the side of the road, beyond this sign:
Somewhat closer of the elk
In CA: vines for wines. Lots of grape vines. And lots of really neat looking trees... mesquite?

Conclusion: March is not a good time to drive down the coast, except for the lack of traffic, and you need more than three days to see stuff.

Hey, I liked the yurt. No we didn't get much sleep (well, with one exception, and we made him drive more that day, but it was a fun experience.
